"WAR WITH MYSELF"

This diptych was created to show how human existence deals with binary opposition. Humanity struggles with morality and the ideas of right and wrong. I wanted to show that internal struggle. I chose the colours of the t-shirts and the light to represent the different sides of representing right or good, and the other side being represented as dark and wrong. I also wanted to reverse the different sides of the photo. Usually right is associated with good and left is associated with bad. I wanted to show the photos opposite of this to show that there is some ambiguity in life and most choices are not often entirely black or white. The grey wall and flower pot are meant to be the grey area in between the two figures.
