I was reading a Black & White Photography - A Basic Manual by Henry Horenstein and I came across this quote underneath a very interesting picture which I posted below. It touched on what it means to be a photographer. I love how it stated that you are supposed to pay attention to the little things around you to tell a story, to capture something that people might not see without you. 


I love the fact that Barbara Davidson, the photographer, turned from the tryouts and all of the action behind her to get this beautiful shot that would have gone unnoticed if she was not paying attention to everything around the action.
